 **Jahangirnagar University Students Protest Over Afsana's Death**

A group of students from Jahangirnagar University blocked the main gate and staged a sit-in on Wednesday in response to the tragic death of Afsana Karim Rachi, a first-year student who died in a campus accident.

Afsana, a student from the marketing department, was fatally struck by a battery-powered rickshaw near the university’s art building on Tuesday.

The protest is being led by students from the 53rd batch, who are demanding that the university authorities address their 8-point list of demands. These include the punishment of the responsible individual and stronger measures to ensure the safety of students on campus.

During the protest, no vehicles are being allowed to enter or exit the campus.
